French Toast

I love French Toast and my family and I must have tried them all! This is the one! This is the one that tastes just like the one you remember your mom making when you were a kid!



  • 1 ¼ cups nut milk ( i use oat milk)

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice

  • 2 tablespoons almond butter

  • 3 tablespoons flour

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds

Vegan butter

10 slices bread of choice


  • Preheat a griddle or large cast-iron pan over medium high heat. Combine the batter ingredients in a large bowl and whisk well.

  • Place a small amount of vegan butter on the griddle. Dip the bread slices into the batter, coating both sides well, and place on the griddle. (Three or four slices should fit simultaneously on the griddle or large cast-iron pan.) Flip after a few minutes, to prevent sticking.

  • Cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes, adding more vegan butter to the griddle if necessary to avoid sticking. Rewhisk the remaining batter between dipping the bread slices. Serve the toast with toppings of choice.
